Deutsche Bank Twin Towers, Frankfurt

Originally planned as a hotel for the American hotel chain Hyatt, the twin towers of the Deutsche Bank headquarters in Frankfurt are now making their way to becoming one of the most famous building complexes in Germany. The Deutsche Bank building is not only a landmark on the Frankfurt skyline, but also a symbol for the strength of the German economy itself. The skyscrapers, each 155 meters high, are also known as "Credit and Debit" or "Deutsche Bank I and II." The twin towers were designed by the architects Walter Hanig, Heinz Scheid and Johannes Schmidt. After five years of construction, the Deutsche Bank skyscrapers were completed in 1984. The towers were renovated between 2007 and 2010 at the cost of around 200 million euros following the introduction of new fire safety regulations. The modernization allowed the energy consumption to be reduced by half and the CO2 emissions by nearly 90 percent. Hybrid humidifiers from Condair provide a constant supply of hygienic humidity.

Patented HygienePlus® method

Basically, air conditioners and humidification devices are not sterile areas. Even when humidifying water of drinking-water quality is used, this is never completely germ-free. Therefore, microbes can always settle and form hazardous biofilms in humidifiers and in damp areas of air conditioners. Suitable hygiene measures are therefore essential to hinder the growth and propagation of pathogens in adiabatic humidifiers. The germ diagram points out the rapid propagation of microorganisms when no appropriate steps are taken to contain them. The patented HygienePlus® method provides for healthy air and a lasting hygienic environment.

Energy-efficient low-pressure system

The low-pressure mode of operation translates to significant energy savings due to the lesser compression work. By combining the Condair DL humidifier and the reverse osmosis of the Condair AT2, even a pressure booster pump on the humidification system becomes superfluous!

Low-pressure systems generally get by with a significantly shallower design depth than high-pressure humidifiers. Due to the arrangement of the evaporator ceramics so that they cover the full area, and as a result of the spray cone of the molecular diffuser nozzles, the entire overall depth of the Condair DL can be reduced to up to 600 mm. Thanks to its compact design, the humidification chamber can also be shortened, achieving a significant saving in materials.
